Kaynam Hedayat is responsible for various product management and product marketing initiatives that define and drive the strategic technology direction of the firm and representing the organization on relevant standards bodies. An 18-year industry veteran, Kaynam is an acknowledged expert in the areas of voice and video over IP. He is co-author of a new VoIP management protocol, RTP Control Protocol Extended Reports (RTCP-XR), which defines a set of standard metrics for assessing VoIP call quality and diagnosing problems. Additionally, Kaynam is co-author of the book, "Multimedia Systems, Standards, and Networks," is co-holder of U.S. Patent No. 7,058,020 that covers a technique for hardware time-stamping, has several additional patents pending, and is the lead author of several IETF standards. Jean-Marc Steffann is a Vice President of Capgemini’s Global Telecom, Media and Entertainment (TME) Practice and Deputy Lead for the Global Sector. Appointed in 2010, Jean-Marc brings strong strategic and operational leadership to the role. Jean-Marc has over 20 years industry experience, and from 1992 – 2010 held a variety of roles inside the France Telecom Group. The first position held by Jean-Marc was in the France Telecom R&D center (now known as Orange Labs), where he became a specialist in IP networks. In 1995 Jean-Marc played an instrumental role in the development and launch of Wanadoo, after which he was appointed as Wanadoo’s first Chief Technology Officer in 2000. Notable achievements during this time include the success of Wanadoo as it became the leading European ISP, and the acquisition of Freeserve in the UK in 2001.
